About me
Teresa F. Morgan, a contemporary romantic novelist from Weston-super-Mare and author of best selling titles Meet Me At Wisteria Cottage and One Fine Day.
I was born and bred in Surrey, but since 1998 I have lived in sunny Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset. I live with my two teenage sons and a budgie called Rio – trying very hard to hold onto my Surrey accent!
For years, never knowing what I really wanted to do in life, I persevered with boring jobs, until my two boys joined my nest, and I was allowed to stay at home. In an attempt to find something to work around my sons, and to ensure I never endured full time boredom again, I found writing.
At first it was an addictive hobby, then, in 2009, wanting to improve my craft (in the hope I might get paid), I embarked on a voyage – the Writers Bureau Comprehensive Writing Course.
I entered the Mills and Boon New Voice competition in 2010 and made some marvellous virtual writing friends, which lead to me attending the RNA conference in 2011, where I met these friends in person, and many are still good friends to this day and are my marvellous writing community.
From the conference I learned about the RNA New Writers’ Scheme, and joined it in 2012. In the summer of 2013, my dream came true, and my first novel, Plus One is a Lucky Number was published by HarperCollins’ imprint, HarperImpulse. One Fine Day followed in 2015, and Meet Me At Wisteria Cottage was published April 2017. (HarperImpulse is now One More Chapter.)
During 2020 I completed The Writers Bureau Proofreading and Copy Editing course.
2020 also brought good news in the form of a three book contract with Sapere Books. Cocktails at Kittiwake Cove was published in June 2021, and my first ever Christmas novel, the second in the series, Mistletoe At The Manor was published November 2021. Sunsets and Happy Ever Afters was published in July 2022.
All three of these books are now available in Audio – published by Saga Egmont.
I am at my happiest baking cakes, putting proper home cooked dinners on the table (whether the kids eat them or not), reading a good romance, or sitting at my PC emptying the thoughts from my head onto the screen. I also have an obsession for superheroes being a Marvel geek (although Superman is my favourite superhero and he’s from the DC universe.)
I love writing contemporary romance, creating stories with a touch of escapism and heroes readers will fall in love with.
I would like to state, just in case there is some confusion, that I am not the same Teresa Morgan who has self-published on Amazon. And due to this, my pen name is Teresa F Morgan.
